Inspiration
None of us knew about finance so wanted to make something easily accessible to beginners to the topic
What it does
runs a simulator of stock that users can invest or sell at any given time
How we built it
split team into research, backend and frontend. designed a gui and set of sub procedures for people to use as a spring board for their task. research team researched real stock trends to create a json file of possible events for each company.
Challenges we ran into
lack of communication between teammates about tasks completed and overall aim. did a group meeting to remedy this so everyone was on the same track.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
creating a functional and dynamic game and creating our formula to simulate trends in data for our graph.
What we learned
a lot about how the stock market works and also working on CSS and javascript
What's next for Bitlife for stocks
adding more events and a greater timeframe to extend gameplay. also bug fixes
