My team sat down and analysed issues faced with home based learning and what aspects of home base learning we wish could be further enhanced to make learning more enjoyable. We constantly asked ourselves, how can we take make learning a more enjoyable process and at the same time communicate and interact with our peers.
WriteBoard is a one-stop platform for students to fulfill their academic queries and needs, whilst ensuring lessons are fun and engaging, through constant interaction and discussion of relevant topics related to modules taken by students.
We used python and django for the development of WriteBoard, and hosted the solution in AWS.
We ran into development issues and bugs, which we rectified along the way. There were definitely more features we wanted to include, but had to focus on getting the project up and running first.
We are proud that we persevered through this 24h and came up with a solution, that met the theme of the hackathon. The solution that we developed is something that we are proud of ourselves.
We learnt that we have to manage our expectations given that we only have a limited amount of time. There is so much that we wish to do, but we are limited by time.
We believe that there is plenty of room for WriteBoard to grow. It definitely has many use cases and creates a better experience for both teachers and students, to teach and to learn.
