Inspiration

I was inspired to make a unique and simple, pro-Bitcoin commercial that would appeal to the masses.

What it does

This commercial discusses some of the benefits of Bitcoin in a nontechnical manner in a "real life" setting that many people can relate to and/or would enjoy being in.

How we built it

For the submitted commercial, we used iPhone for shooting and *inShot * for editing.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with the microphones and, as a result, we weren't able to use footage from a full day of filming. Initially, the commercial contained (and we filmed) six separate scenes, each with me (Sphynx) in or by the pool. In the original script, each scene had its own prop, and the camera shot from a different angle. Upon reviewing the footage, we realized that we couldn't use and of it because of a malfunction that resulted in no audio. At the last minute, we improvised and came up with this instead.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - We didn't want to talk about charts or anything too technical. Instead, I think we created a simple commercial that will appeal to many non crypto-native people. I am always in the pool, so I wanted to create something that was on brand and would appeal to everyday people who may have heard of Bitcoin, but don't know much about it.

What we learned - We learned about the importance of having a backup recording device. We also learned about the diverse challenges that one faces when filming outdoors (e.g. street noise, airplanes flying overhead, etc.).
