Inspiration

As a muslim, I have to pay a yearly 2.5% tithe to charity. I have to do the calculation manually using a spreadsheet to figure out the eligible amount. I don't want to use cloud zakat calculators and leak my financial history.

What it does

Automate the calculations I had to do by simply looking through my bitcoin transaction history and querying from my own electrum server. Bitcoin balances worth more than 3 oz of gold (nisab) and holdings more than 1 year (haul) are eligible for the tithe.
