Inspiration

"Rocketing Finances" and Bitcoin

What it does

It pulls the price of Bitcoin every 10-15 seconds, and forces you to make a prediction of whether the price will go up, down, or stay the same.

How we built it

We contemplated on using am assortment of different tools to build this from the beginning, but ended up using Vue.js, Vuetify, and the Vue-Router because of its speed and simplicity in getting our prototype working. Not to mention the nice UI features.

Challenges we ran into

We mocked up many different ideas on how the act of predicting the price would actually work, with an original plan of displaying the price history of Bitcoin to bring that "trader" feel to the game. We chose to go with the quickest solution which just displays the current price of Bitcoin for sake of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our MVP is technically ready for production, as in we can deploy it as a "completed" project right now if we wanted to, which is a big accomplishment to us.
