Inspiration

Not everyone is motivated to learn about Bitcoin and how it works, but who doesn't like cheesy horror movies? My journey down the Bitcoin rabbithole was largely facilitated by YouTube tutorials, Github pages, and multi-hour podcasts. But whenever I shared these materials with friends and family, the answer was usually: I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for you, tho, or sorry that happened. It made me realize that some people need a little fun with their Bitcoin journey.

What it does

Catches normie eyes with the best of retro movie art, triggering strong feelings of nostalgia before deftly substituting sensations of curiosity and amusement about Bitcoin. By turning famous movie posters into Bitcoin propaganda, I put Bitcoin in front of people whose defenses are down, thereby facilitating maximum orange pilling.

How we built it

By subtly altering the most iconic (or most ridiculous) movie posters ever made to lodge Bitcoin messaging in mainstream minds. I am very careful to match fonts and letting of the original posters so that the end product feels like the original.

Challenges we ran into

I didn't know how to use graphics editing software prior to beginning this project. Had to teach myself how to use GIMP. Also I'm really bad at social media.
