Inspiration
The rising demand for secure, fast, and reliable Bitcoin data inspired me to build this project. I wanted to create something that not only tracks live prices but also leverages blockchain principles to ensure trust and transparency.
What it Does Fetches live Bitcoin prices from trusted public APIs. Provides historical price insights for investors and researchers. Uses blockchain concepts to ensure secure and verifiable transaction data. Offers a developer-friendly API that can be integrated into other applications.
How I Built It Backend: I used Python with requests to fetch real Bitcoin data. Blockchain Layer: I designed a lightweight module for transaction immutability. Frontend: I created a simple but clean interface for visualization. APIs Used: CoinGecko (for real-time Bitcoin data).
Challenges I Faced Ensuring real-time accuracy while avoiding API rate limits. Balancing simplicity with professional-level architecture. Making the system lightweight yet blockchain-integrated.
Accomplishments I built a fully working Bitcoin tracker with blockchain integration. Designed a secure and professional system ready for hackathon submission. Made the code open-source and developer-friendly.
What I Learned How to integrate real blockchain concepts with public data sources. The importance of scalability and clean APIs in financial applications. How to evolve a simple data fetcher into a professional blockchain-backed project.
What’s Next Expanding to support multiple cryptocurrencies. Adding a smart contract layer for decentralized trading simulations.
Building a full-fledged dashboard with AI-driven predictions.
