Inspiration
The inspiration came from Gabriel Nicolodi's presentation which happened during VinteUm's Bitcoin Dev Launchpad. The idea of Discreet Log Contracts sounded cool and we wanted to give it a try implementing it.
What it does
We provide a platform in which users can establish trustless multisig contracts for insurance, future markets, bets and other applications. This enables users to create secure contracts without relying on intermediaries.
How we built it
We used React for the front-end and we have a Node.js backend which is a work-in-progress. We have been testing it using Bitcoin Core's CLI.
Challenges we ran into
We had a couple of ideas and it was difficult to choose what to work on. After some time, we decided to focus on Bitcoin DLC
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're very happy that, despite the struggles, we were able to put the concept up and running and we came up with a demo for our idea, which you can check out at https://bitcoin-dlc.gabrielgusn.space/.
What we learned
Although we were not able to implement it for real, we learned more about the idea of Discreet Log Contracts. By using Bitcoin Core CLI we also had the opportunity
