Inspiration

The Inspiration for building BIST came from a common problem faced in the workspace when a staff leaves a company, the whole information the staff had also leaves the company. It becomes difficult to follow up pending tasks that where not handed over properly.

What it does

BIST Studio allows you to create a workspace where each staff could either be fully AI, fully Human or Both AI and Human. The AI staff are Agents that can execute tasks assigned to them. Those that are both AI & human can also be managed by a human (similar to a human in the loop). BIST has many use cases like staff onboarding, task handovers, status updates, automating documentation/staff audit/audit trail/transparency, 24/7 work sharing between AI and Human, Collaborative workforce between AI & Human. With this ability, there is no information lost. In an event where the human leaves the company, the AI part is still there and can provide information and continue some tasks pending when a new human staff is available.

  4. Add/Create Roles from which Staff can be configured
  5. Add Agentic tools to AI enabled Staff
  6. Workspace - This is where you can assign tasks and chat with each Staff

How I built it

Firstly, I had the plan/idea, I tried to write out the goal of the app, the required infrastructure, input and expected action/output. I also took the 5 days Intensive Agentic AI course on Kaggle to figure out the best way to manage the Agentic workforce. BIST was finally built with Gemini 3 and AI Studio using React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. BIST is powered by the Google Gemini API for agentic AI features.

Challenges I ran into

Finding the best and simplest way to manage the AI enabled workspace was quite complicated for me initially and basically I realized that I might have been overthinking a bit.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

BuildingTheBistWithGemini: I am so proud that the Agentic AI staff and workspace functioned properly. It is amazing, It worked so fast like a flash and the reasoning was amazing. AI STUDIO was able to provide everything I need to develop the application especially making the Agentic AI part to function properly.

I learned the capabilities of AI Studio and How fast Gemini has developed in the last few months.

What's next for BIST STUDIO

The next Step for BIST Studio is to reproduce a production version with an ideal database, private and secure session management and add more agentic capabilities and Workspace functionalities.
