Birunia Series: Free "Liberal Arts" MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) in Urdu for Pakistani University Students

A web-initiative that will offer free filmed and taught online “liberal arts” courses, in Urdu, to make crucial knowledge accessible to university students and faculty in Pakistan. These will be collaboratively designed and executed by US-based Pakistani academics and higher educational professionals within and outside the country, via a sophisticated, aesthetically appealing web platform (website, hosted videos and customized open source learning management system) and will include prescribed reading, further reading and quizzes; all in Urdu.
