Inspiration
We were inspired by the fire-emblem fighting style where you go into battles and take turns fighting.
What it does
It is an immersive and engaging way to learn about the treacherous and hardships of the American Revoluntary War as you travel and fight against the British Army as George Washington.
How we built it
We built it using RPGmaker and split up the work throughout our team. By the end of our time as a group, we had a good idea, and we just needed to execute that idea in the game.
Challenges we ran into
The only challenge we ran into was that RPGmaker only allowed one person to work on the project at a time so we couldn't collaborate on the actual project together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the entire project because we did not have much time actually to do this project.
What we learned
We learned how to game dev in such a short time, especially understanding the work that needs to go into this as a team.
What's next for Birth of a Nation
For now, we actually plan to continue to game with more engaging levels that correlate with the real-world events of the American Revolutionary War.
