What it does

It lets you meet new people by submitting your birthday. You will see a list of random people born on the same day and month as you and if you are interested in talking with someone, you press the "Connect" button, which will lead you to their profile.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of & challenges

There were a handful of problems I ran into and didn't know how to solve because I coded the backend in technologies I learned 2 days ago (NodeJs, Express, and MongoDB). I googled a lot and coded non-stop for +6 hours. There were times when I wanted to give up, but I just kept going. I'm proud I overcame all the obstacles and finished the project.

What I learned

Going fast made me focus on the things that mattered. I sometimes have analysis paralysis, I think too much about what's the best technology to use, the best database, the best architecture, etc. Having a clear deadline made me forget all those things and focus on building a great product.
