We were inspired by the growing number of online scams, predators, phishing attempts, and other digital threats targeting vulnerable individuals. We wanted to create a way for families to stay informed and protect their loved ones without invading their privacy or independence.
Bird’s Eye View is an AI-powered family safety application that detects suspicious contacts and potentially harmful content, including messages, links, and images. It sends customizable alerts to designated family members while respecting users' privacy and freedom.
We designed the concept around AI-powered content detection, contact monitoring, customizable filtering, and notifications. Our goal was to create a two-way monitoring system that balances online safety with personal privacy.
One of our biggest challenges was finding the right balance between protecting users and respecting their privacy. We also had to consider how to identify potentially harmful content without unnecessarily flagging normal conversations.

Our next goal is to develop a working prototype featuring AI-powered content detection, suspicious contact alerts, customizable filtering, and family notifications. Eventually, we hope to expand its capabilities to protect users across multiple devices and platforms.
