The goal of the project was to create a hyper-casual game for players of all ages to enjoy. Two players each control a bird and make them fly around the forest, collecting fruits while dodging bombs. The cherries can in turn be used as currency to buy different bird skins, levels, or upgrades.
Player one uses the A key and player 2 uses the L key.
We built the whole game over the course of McHacks 6 2019 using Unity and C# scripts.
The game's kid-friendly aesthetic is thanks to us having hand-drawn all of the sprites and background ourselves and importing them as assets in Unity.
While not fully implemented, the addition of microtransactions is easy as players could purchase different birds/skins, backgrounds, items, additional lives, or more gamemodes.
