Inspiration
As bird owners, we noticed there was far less information for prospective bird owners than other more popular pets like dogs and cats.
What it does
It features various information useful for bird owners and prospective ones such as pet bird needs, medical services, different breeds, and where to get birds.
How we built it
We coded the website using HTML, CSS, and Javascript on Github.
Challenges we ran into
Both of us had little experience with website making so we had to learn the fundamentals of the various languages along with researching a lot of specific features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
On our website we were able to successfully add some more advanced features such as a slideshow and collapsibles even though they were more difficult to code and involved more javascript logic.
What we learned
We both gained a lot of experience in HTML, CSS, and Javascript as neither of us had much any website making experience and had pretty much only used Java in the past.
What's next for Bird-Brain
In the future we hope to polish more of the pages and add more features along with covering more bird species as we currently don't talk about all the popular bird breeds.
