Inspiration
Sustainable development of futuristic cities in regards to the increasing climate change.
What it does
It provides a 3 way platform for local governments, gig workers and residents
How we built it
We built it using typescript, node.js, css, html, JS and JSON.
Challenges we ran into
Lethargy, version control, merge conflicts, ideation quarrels.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Good workflow management within the app, presentable MVP and good pitch deck.
What we learned
Version control nuances, how to effectively use AI for ideas and problem solutions, how to work in a team, how to understand different point of views and how to battle differences.
What's next for BioScape
BioScape is a trifecta application that connects three aspects of futuristic cities: governing authorities, gig workers, and residents. It enables the authorities to do infrastructure planning, waste management/repurposing from one industry to the other and maintain a list of sustainability metrics such as water and energy consumed in a month by neighbourhoods, number of gig workers in the city, etc. Gig workers are connected to residents, helping them to get opportunities to work. They are also provided with government powered training and certifications, making them ready for their jobs. Residents can trade their excess energy to local communities in exchange for money, and can post job alerts for the gig workers which can be contract based or one-off. BioScape brings together nature and technology, aiming to create sustainable and overlooked communities powered by the government and with the help of futuristic infrastructure.
