Inspiration
During short periods before examinations, I find myself rushing to read up the entire course material. After doing a lengthy research on reading techniques, I stumbled upon bionic reading and thought: wow! I could make something like that.
What it does
Bionicpython converts your books and pdfs into bionic reading format for speedy assimilation and understanding.
How we built it
It was done in python, Pycharm IDE specifically, where coding and testing took place.
Challenges we ran into
Turning a programming algorithm into a working product is a little bit tricky, but it ended up working out.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Bionicpython has turned out to be very useful to not just myself, but also a large community of students. It has over 40 stars on github, showing that it's of value to many.
What we learned
I learned that, in order to make an impactful difference, we need to tackle problems in our lives that can then be extended into positively affecting others.
What's next for Bionicpython
Bionicpython will be releasing it's app really soon! Converting python into an app is rather tricky, but we sure are figuring it out ;)
