BioMoist X - Trash Titans

💪Inspiration

   Waste management is often inefficient, especially when organic waste is contaminated or poorly maintained. Compost bins fail when moisture levels are not balanced, leading to bad odor, slow decomposition, or unusable compost. At the same time, people struggle to correctly sort waste.

We wanted to build a smart system that not only identifies waste using QR codes and datasets, but also monitors compost health in real time using AI and sensors.

What it does

BioMoist X is an AI-powered smart waste assistant that:

📷 Scans QR codes to identify items 📚 Uses a dataset to classify waste into compost, recycle, or garbage 🌱 Monitors compost moisture using a sensor 🤖 Uses Edge Impulse AI to classify compost health (healthy / too dry / too wet) 💡 Gives instant LED feedback for quick understanding 📧 Sends email alerts when compost conditions need attention

It helps users sort waste correctly and maintain optimal compost conditions, making sustainability easier and smarter.
