Social creator platform with NFT membership access for genuine Fan and Creator interactions built using ThirdWeb and QuickNode

Inspiration

We were inspired by the creator communities such as Patreon and Passes as well as NFT membership launches such as Fnatic Key membership NFTs

What it does

It allows Users to mint their favorite Creator's NFTs to gain membership access to direct Fan to Creator interactions and perks. Creators have an equitable share of proceeds of all NFT purchases and secondary sales. This platform increases the value of creators' collections by being included in the network of fans and creators increasing their NFTs utility of connecting with their fan base provided by the platform.

How we built it

We utilize ThirdWeb for their NFT integration: deploying Smart Contracts via a no-code Dashboard for the business logic of the NFT and distribution of primary and secondary sale commissions; DarkBlock for NFT-authenticated protected content; QuickNode for their Token API and NFT API: easy access look up of token and NFT balances in the User's wallet and the metadata of the respective assets.

Challenges we ran into

We had challenges integrating ThirdWeb Auth with some of the previous articles using outdated code structures and integrating QuickNode as their Token API is only available on Mainnet Ethereum not allowing us to cost-effectively implement and test our dApp with.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud of getting the f*** off local host and accruing visitors and a userbase

What we learned

It's important to develop quickly and incrementally to get your product in the hands of testing and early users

What's next for Biome Social

Partnerships with in-person events for real-life perks of the NFT Memberships and integrating Lens Protocol for a cross-platform and decentralized user following for Creators and Fans.
