Inspiration

Antibiotic resistance become a specific challenge in the health care sector and some bacteria are hard to treat with conventional antibiotics. WE ARE INSPIRED BY THE BACTERIOPHASES as a possible approach against antibiotics .

What it does

BACTERIOPHASES- Viruses that specifically target bacteria so we focus on how phase based therapy could be used as a target alternative to conventional antibiotics.

How we built it

BIO-phage was developed as a research based concept by studying antibiotics resistance bacteriophages and existing phase therapy research

Challenges we ran into- one of the major challenge was understanding how bacteriophages can matched to specific bacterial targets.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building a clear concept of phage therapy and this project also helped us connect biotechnology concepts with a real world healthcare challenge.

What we learned

Through this project we learned how antibiotics resistance creates challenges in treating bacteria; infections and how bacteriophages can specifically target bacteria .

What's next for BIO-Phage

To conduct deeper research on phase bacteria interactions and identify suitable phases for specific antibiotic resistance bacterial targets .
