Inspiration

From Parma and Paris, we have noticed one common challenge: gloves and masks ending up on the streets.

What it does

We have thought of a specific bin for personal protective equipment on the streets. Our first way to raise awareness about this new challenge is to communicate directly with our citizens. On the bin, you will find a huge sticker on it with a message: protect your Planet to protect Yourself. Our second way to raise awareness is to encourage people to use those bins and to make it fun.

How I built it

We want to use an existing bin from Parma to make the solution more feasible. The bin can only be opened with your foot, so you do not have to use your hands. The bin has two wheels so we can move it to different place. We’ll have other slogan stickers. Then, you will see our logo Binresponsible and our #challenge with social media. We have thought of #par2change or #par2action. We will build partnership with different social media such as Facebook, Tik tok and Instagram. We want to launch a #challenge.

Challenges I ran into

We faced challenges about the recycling part. It was also challenging to find a feasible solution about the bin.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We're proud about our solution because we can implement it easily and scale it up fast.

What I learned

We learned about reclycling, collecting and interesting partnerships.

What's next for Binresponsible

It will be to integrate the recycle part of the project and to scale it up to other city and country.
