The name "BIMA", derived from the Swahili word for land or property, reflects our mission: empowering individuals to own and trade land with confidence, speed, and transparency. land ownership is one of the most valuable assets in Africa, yet also one of the least trusted systems. Paper-based titles, missing records, corruption, and disputes have prevented millions of people from accessing secure property rights. We wanted to build something that turns trust into technology a system where land ownership is transparent, verifiable, and secure, regardless of geography or authority

As the Project Manager for the BIMA project, I led the team from concept to deployment. I coordinated developers, managed timelines, and ensured smooth integration of blockchain components including Substrate pallets, KILT identity, IPFS storage, and frontend using React & Polkadot.js.

I defined the roadmap, facilitated sprints, supported technical decision-making, and aligned the solution with the problem of land ownership transparency. I also oversaw documentation and helped prepare the whitepaper and project demo.
