Inspiration
Thousands of students each year attend colleges across the nation to pursue their academic aspirations in hopes of creating a better future. However, the academic, mental, and adapting pressures to dealing with the world of academia while trying to manage a social life as an adult soon limit the capabilities for students to maintain their mental health. Therefore, taking inspiration from how our own friends provide a space for us to vent our issues, we decided to create a social media platform to allow students to vent.
What it does
It is a social media platform that enables students to vent their thoughts via anonymous comments in a college community.
How we built it
We utilized repl with HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create a website.
Challenges we ran into
There was a general learning curve associated with these technologies.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how we encountered the apparent learning curve and took time to plan out the visual interface for the website.
What we learned
We learned how to implement the basics of the website and coding in HTML and CSS alongside planning future ideas.
What's next for Billow
We will be adding features for increased customization and information on the website with additional pages.
