When my AC wasn't working properly, I had to contact customer service. the first thing they asked was about the warranty card, and unfortunately, I didn't remember where was it. Then immediately I came up with the idea, that if (at that time), I had a single piece of paper, I could claim the damage under warranty and could have saved thousands of money. (which i had to pay to the servicemen)

What it does

Our project scans, manages, analyses, and archives the bills and warranty cards.

How we built it

We built it using OCR(Optical Character Recognition), python libraries, machine learning, app development, and similar tech stack

Challenges we ran into

Ideathon was one of the challenges, then to researched what all are the best resources available to bring our idea to reality. At first, we were facing a lot of issues, but after a lot of deep research, we were able to solve all of them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

the major proud moment is that we are solving a real-world problem, which everyone faces in their life. We are also proud of completing our project in the given time frame.

What we learned

We learned how to work in a team, and how to work coherently. Apart from all this new techonologies got added into our tech stack, which will definitely help us in future.

What's next for Bill Manager

In future works, we might use an ML model which might give predictions where we could have saved money, or recommend a place where the same item is available for next time, based on individual's lifestyle.
