Inspiration
Big data analytics, machine learning, and AI contribute to the 4th industrial revolution and are very useful in helping us to gain insights into various industries.
In this project, we are leveraging machine learning and AI to understand the business networks through financial transactions using this dataset
Goals
Spend forecasting for the business (agencies in our dataset) AND receivables forecasting for the vendors. Quantify how to spot business that is successful vs those that might have signs of problems
Understand the connectedness of the network by identifying similar businesses (or agencies) and similar vendors. Define a clear metric for similarity. Apply that understanding to recommend vendors to business.

Challenges we ran into
Time crunch is a challenge. The data cleaning process took far longer than we have expected
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Half of us have no experience in data analytics/ joining datathon and this is our very first time in doing data analysis in a short period of time. We had so much fun!
