Web App for Bicyclists on the go.
can be accessed on http://huhbike.appspot.com from computer or from ANY mobile phone (work in progress)
Why not have an app that will get information about transit, rideshare options from different places and then only thing you would have to do is click on the map where you wanna go and it would use all this sources to tell you best ways to get there, mainly using your bike but not necessary, the options are limiteless how everybody would use it and that's the goal here, to let people use it in their own way and get feedback from it and make it better even for more people. You could bike a mile or two (or somebody could drop you off on the car) and you could take the bus/metro/etc (knowing when exactly bus is coming using http://nextbus.com gps techology) and get there nicer and faster than waiting for a bus to take another bus and then metro sometimes waiting for 20+ minutes in the stop. Why not show then on the map hey here is a organic juice bar or organic vegan restaraunt/shop just near the stop that you can visit, isn't that much nicer than driving car and just going to first unhealthy joint that you see the sign of? We make bad decisions every day because we just don't have time. This app will help people to get information right when they need it, no crashing apps, no need to install, just access it from browser from any device, it will get information about your location with HTML5 Geolocation and then tell you everythng you need using preferences you set up (you wanna see vegan shops around? you like buses? you can bike up to 5 mile if needed to get to/from stop?) and not having to just stand there for 10 minutes searching in different apps, but get information right there when you need.
I hope people will start using this and bike more. Los Angeles is beautiful place, when you take it as whole, using this app you can never know what nice places you will pass by, nice small shops, old classic book shops, that you would just won't have time to "research".
Let's be more responsible to everybody and environment and make less bad decisions.
about me: I am a good hacker, who has totally positive meaning of hacking, even when I "hacked" Google and got into Google Security Hall of Fame and it was in all news, people were still saying "wow, hackers can be good" and getting feedback from people who are not into tech stuff about how they liked what I did is my "prize", I just hope I'll win to "push" myself more to finish my ideas.
