Inspiration

Bigfoot’s Wallet Woes was inspired by the idea that even legendary cryptids suffer from completely ordinary, human problems—like losing their wallet right before a big yard-sale event. The concept grew out of wanting to blend everyday frustrations with the absurdity of Bigfoot navigating modern life. It’s a comedy short built around relatable chaos, summer heat, and the kind of mishaps that lead straight to an IceCool machine.

What it does

The video follows Bigfoot as he documents a stressful, hilarious crisis: he’s on his way to the massive Waverly yard sale but realizes he’s lost his wallet somewhere in the woods. The piece plays like a vlog-meets-mockumentary, capturing his grunts, panic, and rambling search attempts. Along the way he battles the heat, dehydration, and general wilderness confusion. The punchline comes when he discovers that hydration doesn’t require a wallet at all—because IceCool’s vending machines offer free water. It’s a fun, fast anti-commercial built on personality and situational comedy.

How we built it

Bigfoot’s character, movement, and environments were created using AI video-generation tools, primarily Kling, alongside image models used for consistency checks and reference. Adobe Premiere Pro was used to assemble the final sequence, shape Bigfoot’s comedic “performance,” and refine the pacing. Adobe After Effects handled stabilization, cleanup, and light enhancements. The audio timing, grunts, and comedic effects were layered to reinforce the mock-vlog format.

Challenges we ran into

Maintaining Bigfoot’s look across generations was a recurring challenge—fur texture, proportions, and lighting often shifted unpredictably between outputs. Achieving comedic facial expressions was also tricky, as AI models can push expressions into uncanny territory if not guided carefully. Another key challenge was shaping the edit so that the humor felt natural and vlog-like; comedy relies heavily on timing, so several shots were reworked and regenerated to land the punchlines properly. Lastly, balancing product reference with humor required careful restraint to avoid it feeling like a straightforward ad.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re especially proud of how much personality Bigfoot has in this short piece. His exasperation, confusion, and determination all come through clearly. The final cut is tight, funny, and leans into the absurd while still feeling grounded in the character’s “voice.” The reveal that he didn’t need his wallet after all—because IceCool provides free water—lands as both a joke and a clever anti-commercial twist.

What we learned

This project reinforced how important micro-acting and timing are in AI-driven comedy. We learned new ways to coax expressive gestures from models that weren’t designed for humor, and how to edit AI footage to emphasize character beats rather than visual spectacle. It also taught us how to guide AI tools toward consistency when dealing with fur, motion, and outdoor lighting—elements that AI often struggles to keep uniform.

What's next for "Bigfoot's Wallet Woes"

Bigfoot’s misadventures are far from over. Future installments could explore more everyday problems with an absurd twist—lost keys, campsite disasters, overheating, bug swarms, or 4th-of-July campground chaos. We’re also considering a full mini-series featuring Bigfoot as an accidental influencer, giving "advice" while promoting IceCool’s locations in Waverly and Cape Charles. There’s plenty of room to expand his world.
