Inspiration

The software organizations are mostly performing the proposal management process manually and over emails. Most of the times, the organizations struggling to track the proposals, record the list of proposals submitted and missing the lessons learnt. With BidEaze, we are trying to address these problems and automate the entire process.

What it does

BidEaze receives all the proposal invitations, Triaging the same and assigning to the proposal management team It uses AI to read the emails, get the client & project information, timelines and customer’s sentiment towards the proposal. It routes the proposal to relevant internal team experts, get their advice (or) review. It helps the proposal team to estimate and respond for the proposal and help them to retrospect & record the lessons learnt.

How we built it

1.Email Bot

 We used one of the Pega’s latest digital channel capability, “Email Bot” to listen customer emails, read &  understand the proposal and triage the same.

2.Prediction Model

 We used Prediction model to read the Customer emails about the proposals. We provided sample training data to extract the entities and understand the sentiments & trained the model to provide accurate predictions.

3.React UI & DX APIs

 We used react for our front end UI and used DX APIs to show the user screens, perform actions & validations. 

Challenges we ran into

React is new to us. We struggled a lot to build the react UI. There were some functionalities like attachments were not working. We debugged and traced the DX APIs and fixed the issues on our own. Initially we had challenges to find out the data from Email and later we learnt the prediction models & got to know how we need to use the models to predict & extract the data from Email.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to learn react using the starter pack application provided by Pega and we built some new react application on our own. We learnt DX API and learnt how Pega is connecting to the front-end applications using DX API. Learnt the pros and cons of React & DX API. We learnt about Email bots and learnt how is reading the email using NLP and extracting data from it.

What's next for BidEaze

We built the basic and happy path component of BidEaze Application in this Hackathon. In future, we want to enhance & build the complete end to end application with all scenarios. Add Customer Decision Hub (CDH) to help the estimators to find the most relevant projects done by the organization previously and get the lessons learnt from those. Update & enhance more on the estimation and add the resource loading component also. Generate the RFP response document from this application.
