How we built it

Challenges we ran into

Creating such an extensive virtual tour was no easy task. We faced significant technical challenges: Taking and optimizing over 8,700 panoramic photos, maintaining high quality in all lighting conditions. Precisely mapping 38 points of interest, coordinating permits, access, and shooting schedules. Making the tour accessible and easy to navigate, even on mobile devices. Combining institutional needs and promoting local businesses in a single, seamless experience.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I created the official virtual tour of Abbiategrasso, which can be visited for free on bia360.it. Bià360 has garnered thousands of views from residents, tourists, and the curious. The "Bià360 Recommends" section has given visibility to local businesses and professionals, such as Vener, Syncrodent, Studio DAM, Marina Lanticina, and Realmente Casa. The project has strengthened the digital identity of the area, offering a useful tool for schools, tourists, and businesses.

What we learned

The value of visual storytelling to promote a region: a 360° image excites, engages, and lingers. The importance of collaborating with public entities and private companies to create a shared, lasting project. Technology is powerful, but what makes the difference is the intent behind every shot: telling stories, highlighting beauty, and stimulating discovery.

What's next for Bia360

Bià360 doesn't stop there. I'm working on:

• New points of interest to enrich the immersive experience.
• Integrations with augmented reality and information sheets for schools, cultural events, and tourist visits.
• Expansion of the "Bià360 Recommends" section, featuring more local businesses and professionals.
• Collaborations with local institutions and associations to transform Bià360 into a participatory, useful, and up-to-date platform.
