The unchecked spread of misinformation and deepfakes across Indian social platforms inspired Bharat Verify. From WhatsApp forwards to manipulated videos, false content has caused real-world harm—social unrest, scams, and distrust. The vision is to empower citizens with a simple, reliable way to verify before they share.

What it does

Bharat Verify is a multi-modal AI verification platform that acts as a Digital Truth Guardian. It allows users to paste text, upload images, or share videos and instantly receive a Truth Score backed by forensic AI and real-time Google Search grounding.

How we built it

Frontend: React 19 with Tailwind CSS for a responsive, accessible interface.

AI Integration: Google Gemini 3.0 Pro/Flash for reasoning and grounding, Gemini 2.5 Flash Image for visual forensics.

Logic Layer: Scripts for video frame extraction and image analysis.

Grounding Layer: Google Search integration for live fact-checking.

Storage: Local-first architecture using browser localStorage for privacy.
