The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted the existing inequalities and exacerbated the job crisis, especially for those with disabilities. It became evident that innovative solutions were needed to address these systemic barriers and foster a more inclusive society.

What it does

"Includeme.AI" is an ed-tech platform exclusively hosted for disabled individuals, stands at the forefront of inclusive education. By integrating various AI tools and accessibility options, it revolutionizes the learning experience for people with disabilities. Tailoring content to individual needs, the platform ensures accessibility through AI-powered tools, offering adaptive learning experiences and real-time support. Enhanced communication features foster an inclusive environment, while accessibility options enable seamless navigation. How we built it

"Includeme.AI", was meticulously crafted using a combination of cutting-edge technologies to ensure inclusivity and functionality. Leveraging the power of React.js and Node.js, we developed a robust and user-friendly front-end and back-end infrastructure. React.js enabled us to create dynamic and interactive user interfaces, while Node.js facilitated seamless server-side communication and data processing. In addition, we integrated machine learning (ML) models to enhance the platform's capabilities, allowing for personalized learning experiences and adaptive features. Through extensive collaboration and iterative development cycles, we meticulously refined "Includeme.AI" to deliver an inclusive platform tailored exclusively for individuals with disabilities.

Challenges we ran into

Kicking off our project, we encountered the initial challenge of assembling a diverse group of testers to evaluate our portal's accessibility and functionality. Additionally, fine-tuning our machine learning models to adapt to users' needs dynamically presented a complex technical hurdle. Amidst these challenges, optimizing the platform's responsiveness across various devices and screen readers demanded meticulous attention to detail. These initial hurdles, while daunting, fueled our determination to create a truly inclusive platform tailored to the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. One challenge we encountered was the need to find suitable individuals to test our portal. Ensuring that we had a diverse pool of testers representing various disabilities was crucial to validating the accessibility and usability of our platform effectively. Additionally, we faced hurdles in fine-tuning the machine learning models to accurately adapt to users' individual needs and preferences. Integrating these models seamlessly into the platform while maintaining optimal performance posed technical challenges that required creative solutions. Lastly, optimizing the platform's responsiveness across different devices and screen readers presented another obstacle, requiring thorough testing and iteration to achieve an intuitive user experience.
