Inspiration
We noticed that some people who have just started working in Munich or those who lack friends to share common interests with after class often feel lonely in the city. Although Munich is a diverse, inclusive, and vibrant city full of activities, there are still people who struggle to step out—whether from their rooms or their inner worlds.
What it does
Our idea is to create a platform that matches strangers based on shared interests. Furthermore, people can also be matched 1:1 based on their skills for exchange or sharing, depending on their willingness. To enhance users' sense of safety, the project could be run in collaboration with the City of Munich, ensuring it adheres to local regulations and provides a trustworthy environment. The aim is to ensure safety while offering people opportunities to make new friends and build meaningful connections.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
Safety and privacy protection are critical concerns. We are not yet sure how to ensure these aspects comply with regulations in Germany, and this has been a significant challenge in our development process. Additionally, creating a matching algorithm that feels natural and effective for users while also encouraging genuine interaction is no small feat.
