The purpose of our project is to identify skills from students that are not exposed to society. A student may feel secure to follow his/her passion.

Inspiration

A situation in my life made me to inspire to proceed with this project. A spelling bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. I myself came to know about this competition by the end of my schooling. Almost everyone in my class were unaware about it when I discussed about spelling bee with them. If I would have known about this before I might have gained a new exposure in my school life. Even others may have experienced the parallel kind of situation like me in their life. What it does

It is a website that is going to be organized by the school management. It is both student login and teacher login. In student login, He/she find various co-curricular activities such as singing, dancing, content creation, sports, reading, writing and more. A student can select certain domain that he/she is interested and upload a video file by performing that skill in their efficient way. A student can perform in one or more domain. There is no restriction in selecting domain and uploading video. In teacher login, the teachers who were handling different co-curricular activity can verify the videos that were posted by the students and upload those videos and give feedbacks for those video. This help in students to correct their mistake and perform better. Several teachers can take care of several domains. This project serves as a platform to express their skill. For example, A student from a college which is not much reputed, who is mastered in coding will not get recognition until or unless he/she prove themself in coding platforms like hacker rank, leetcode, etc.

How we built it

We used Angular JS as out front-end and Node JS as our back-end.

Challenges we ran into

Collecting feedbacks from friends, family, teachers, students and then organizing those requirements to start a project was a challenge to us.

What's next for Beyond The School

We will try to integrate our website with blockchain and cloud for storage. So that the interaction will be much more faster and efficient. Multiple users can use the website at the same time without any lag. To conduct various competitions and contests. Integrating leaderboards to check overall performance.
