Beyond The Binary

Inspiration

One of my closest friends came out as homosexual to me and asked that I not tell anyone. He wanted to be seen as a heterosexual person because he was frightened of being judged for his sexual orientation. He told his parents he was gay, but they ignored him, claiming he was afraid of girls. He was always insecure and psychologically unwell since he couldn't locate somebody with the same orientation with whom he could share his issues, and his surroundings were not always encouraging. I feel the LGBTQ people are more affected than heterosexual people. They require a community and a medical counsellor who is who can be contacted quickly.

What it does

The app "Beyond the Binary" is a community where all the LGBTQ people will be present. With the integration using Symbl.ai, it can track certain words like "suicide", "mentally ill", "depression" and connect the affected person to a counsellor to help him immediately. If he wishes to reach a counsellor individually, he needs to record his problem and send it as a voice message; sentimental analysis would be done using Symbl.ai and would detect the tone of the voice and detect the mentally ill keywords and automatically connect him with a medical councillor to seek help.
