Inspiration

While my family was out of town, my grandma encountered IT problems. We couldn't rush it back in time, so my grandma had to deal with it alone. If she could get in touch with a neighbor she could have had her problem solved easily. Thus, we decided to make this App to promote people helping each other beyond the desire to make money.

What it does

It allows users to post their needs and people volunteer to help.

How we built it

We used Expo and React Native to build this iOS App.

Challenges we ran into

We used the live share extension on VS Code, and it frequently deleted and duplicated our code due to unstable internet. Expo also crash multiple times.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that we made a roughly functional iOS App in such short period of time while learning everything from scratch.

What we learned

We learned to start with a smaller goal first and scale it up later. Also, version control is more preferable than shared coding session.

What's next for Beyond Money

The next step would be polishing the rating system.
