Inspiration

My inspiration was that I like Siri a lot. I think its cool that you can ask questions using my voice. I also like ChatGPTs OpenAi, something that I use a lot. ChatGPT helps me a lot everyday. I wanted to incorporate both elements by making ChatGPTs voice activated.

What it does

Better Siri is a voice activated Ai that you can talk to. It uses ChatGPTs model so you can ask complex questions. It has voice recognition as well so everything is voice activated!

How we built it

I made this Python project in visual studio code. I utilized ChatGPTs API to be able to talk to its Ai. I used many libraries and modules such as voice recognition, text to speech, and OpenAis module.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges that I ran into were that I was having trouble with the speech recognition aspect of the project, it is something that I have never done before. But after some reading, I found a voice recognition module.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Something that I am really proud of is how I was able to learn voice recognition in the short span of this Hackathon. I barely knew anything abut voice recognition when I started, but by the time I finished, I knew a lot more about it.

What we learned

I learned a lot about ChatGPTs API as well as voice recognition.

What's next for Better Siri

Next would probably be more customizable features like UI, better text to speech, and visual/sound effects for the system.
