🎬 Inspiration

“Better Contract, Please” was inspired by a simple thought:
what if the biggest problems in life come not from creatures, but from the contracts we sign blindly?

I wanted to explore bureaucracy in a surreal, symbolic world — where a “pet” can be a lynx in the morning, an elephant at lunch, and a whale floating above your head by evening.
The absurdity of cosmic paperwork became the emotional core of this film.

Minimalism, satire, and dreamlike storytelling shaped the entire tone of the project.

🎥 What It Is About

In a vast white desert, a woman walks with her companion animal — which keeps transforming into new beings: a lynx, elephant, wolf, peacock, and finally a whale.
Each transformation exposes how fragile and unpredictable our reality becomes when rules are written by someone else.

At the end, standing before a black monolith, she releases the creature and says:

“Next time, I’ll sign a better contract.”

It’s not just sci-fi — it’s a metaphor for life choices.

🛠 How I Built It

I worked solo on the entire project:

  • Full storyboard and script
  • Character design and transformations
  • Motion design, camera choreography, and scene composition
  • Environmental design (white desert, monolith)
  • All 3D/AI animation sequences
  • VFX, transitions, and morphing
  • Sound design and original music
  • Final edit and color styling

Every frame was generated or directed using AI tools under my creative supervision.

Tools Used

  • KlingAI — main character animation
  • PixVerse / Pika — motion and transformations
  • Midjourney V7 — visual foundations and environments
  • Runway / Luma — shots and transitions
  • Suno — original soundtrack
  • Topaz Video AI — upscaling and refinement
  • Adobe Premiere — final edit

🚧 Challenges

  • Keeping consistency across all transformations
  • Blending multiple AI motion sources into a seamless cinematic cut
  • Creating realistic creature morphs in a surreal world
  • Managing a full 5-minute film alone with a multi-tool pipeline

📚 What I Learned

This project taught me:

  • How to direct complex AI-driven scenes with multiple transformations
  • How to keep narrative clarity in an abstract world
  • How to structure a complete cinematic pipeline with AI tools
  • How to achieve a balance between satire, surrealism, and emotional storytelling

🌌 Conclusion

“Better Contract, Please” is a reflection on how small decisions can reshape our entire reality.
Through surreal imagery and symbolic creatures, the film questions one simple idea:

What if our destiny depends on the fine print?
