Inspiration

Current bike shared situation is sub-optimal, and is having a negative impact on the community. We believe that a better system exists, where bikes are docked with dignity.

What it does

It is to create a revenue stream for city councils to help build bike infrastructure in a sustainable way.

We as a solution act as intermediary between the local councils and bike share companies, providing a structure which does not currently exist.

How we built it

We have developed a low cost solution which involves a minimal capital expenditure, whilst providing the benefit of IoT technologies and data collection and analytics.

Challenges we ran into

The hardware design of a lock which can properly dock to the current dock frames.

The scope and cost of the software and hardware addition to make the lock to be a smart IoT device.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Identified the problem of existing shared bikes - Dockless, backed by evidence We have devised a genuine solution which will help solving the transportation problems in cities.

Clearly defined the needs for dock-able shared bikes, and a feasible plan to make bikes dockable, which consists of a combination of hardware and software design, powered by IoT and blockchain technology

Defined a conceptual design of a dockable lock.

Defined a conceptual design of the smart portion of the lock to be IoT.

Defined a conceptual design of a service app which can leverage values of data collected from those IoT smart locks.
