Responsible gambling week
What it does
Its meant to show you friends bets, and popular bets, the original plan was to display how many people are betting on a certain thing and have ability to discuss them, but we didn't get that far
How we built it
AWS for hosting database, and free .tech domain (wasnt set up in time). 1and1 server for hosting. Most of the backend in PHP (ew) frontend using Bootstrap and CSS
Challenges we ran into
Sleep depravity and being 1 team member down
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I mean.. the logo is cool at least, the registration works fine and the database works
What we learned
Set realistic goals, have a plan ready before the hackathon
What's next for BetBook
Recycle bin? Realised there is potentially problems with the UK gambling commission
