Inspiration
We've all been there: watching a match with friends, debating outcomes, and making light-hearted wagers. Bet3 was born from these playful interactions. We envisioned a decentralized platform where friends can bet on anything, from a sports match to any shared experience, bringing communities closer.
What it does
Bet3 is a betting platform designed for friends. Whether it's a sports match or a fun challenge, Bet3 ensures a straightforward betting experience. It's more than just sports; it's about any shared moment your group cherishes.
How we built it
Our solution stems from a Solidity smart contract, deployed on both Mantle and Celo. The UX is intuitive for all, with just three clicks to start. The designs took shape in Figma, our promotional video in After Effects, and the soundtrack in Ableton. Vue.js and WAGMI powered the frontend.
Challenges we ran into
Crafting our core idea was challenging. We considered everything from car insurance protocols to our own DAO. Despite hiccups, we're thrilled with our 36-hour creation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our UI and UX are distinctive, epitomizing both simplicity and intuitiveness. As the project manager, I'm immensely proud of every member of our team. Their dedication, collaboration, and creativity culminated in a standout 'commercial' video, among other achievements.
What we learned
This venture was an enlightening journey, navigating through a suite of tools and platforms. We delved deep into Foundry, BuildBear, and WAGMI. Our deployment spanned both Mantle and Celo blockchains, each with its unique advantages. Mantle, with its robustness and reliability, proved invaluable, whereas Celo's mobile-first approach provided a user-friendly experience.
We also explored Aleph Zero and RedStone. Aleph Zero's promise of scalability without compromising decentralization opened up intriguing possibilities, and RedStone's advanced oracle capabilities presented a new horizon for data retrieval and validation.
What's next for Bet3
The future is vibrant for Bet3. Our primary objective is to introduce account abstraction, which will revolutionize the user experience. This means users will experience in-app, gasless transactions, making betting not just fun but also effortless. The built-in wallet is not just a storage space; we envision it becoming a comprehensive hub where users can manage, buy, and sell crypto with ease.
But we're not stopping there. An AI-powered feature is in the works to streamline bet creation. Imagine typing a simple phrase, and the AI does the heavy lifting, setting up the bet parameters for you.
Furthermore, as we contemplate the evolution of Bet3 into a platform with both public and private betting groups, creating a frictionless system for group invites becomes paramount. Alongside this, real-time push notifications will ensure no one misses out on the thrill.
