Inspiration

We took our inspiration from many places. A lot of the time, people can be unmotivated to study if others around them are doing other things. Being able to see how many other people are studying too, would serve as sort of a morale boost.

Apps like Nike Run Club allow you to track your fitness goals and progress, but what about academic gains? Our app would allow you to track the amount of time you spend studying as well as what you studied.

Our name unsurprisingly was inspired by BeReal. But it also inspired features such as sharing your study session so your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Seeing other people also studying might make you more motivated to study too.

What it does

The main functionality of our app is that it allows you to share your study sessions with other students.

How we built it

We built it using react-native for the frontend and firebase for the backend.

What we learned

Most of us were beginners to mobile development as well as using react-native and firebase itself.
We learned a lot about the process that goes into developing apps, it takes time. Rome wasn't built in 36 hours.
