Inspiration

After 25+ years designing technology for large enterprises, I asked: What if every local entrepreneur could have an AI business partner?

Local stores, home chefs, and home businesses often have great products but limited access to technology, analytics, marketing, and business expertise. They face everyday questions: What should I stock? What should I promote? How can I attract customers? What should I do next?

This led me to build Beruni AI.

What it does

Beruni AI is an AI Operating System for Local Commerce, connecting local stores, home chefs, home businesses, and shoppers.

AI helps customers discover products, helps entrepreneurs understand and grow their businesses, proactively identifies opportunities and risks, and turns recommendations into actions.

Examples include AI Shopping, AI Business Advisor, Proactive AI, AI-to-Action, AI Support & Resolution, fraud detection, and marketplace safety.

How we built it

Beruni is built with React, Java/Spring Boot, Google Cloud, Vertex AI/Gemini, REST APIs, and Android.

Our core principle is:

Understand → Recommend → Act → Verify

AI provides intelligence while the application controls authentication, authorization, business rules, data, and execution.

Vision

Beruni starts in India with a larger ambition: make practical AI accessible to everyday entrepreneurs and local communities around the world.
