Inspiration
I wanted to pitch a website that would allow students to organize their lives better, so I came up with the To-Do List Tracker, because it gets hard keeping track of what you need and their deadlines. The Network and Get a Job were inspired from the fact that FGLI students (and honestly students in general) would feel better knowing someone else is in the same boat as them, as well as get an opportunity to earn money.
What it does
The Get a Job allows you to enter your skills, location (the location of the city/country and whether you want it to be remote), and type (educational, designing etc.) The To-Do List Tracker asks students to enter the tasks they need to do and those tasks show up on the Calendar, where students can drag those tasks to their specific time/deadline. Network gives students the opportunity to mingle with other students; these could be from their school or from another country! This can allow students to feel more comfortable going to a college abroad with someone they met online. It can also allow students to share their notes, tips etc. with others, ultimately making it easier for them to navigate the student life. On a side note, you can just text while Networking, which means this is perfect for introverts too!
How I built it
I built the website on Canva. But the real website would use HTML and CSS coding.
Challenges I ran into
It was hard to think of how to improve the Calendar, but then I remembered the issues I face and made a Pitch with that.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The Network area was good, because it would allow students to interact with each other; it could lead to them forming study groups or just helping each other when needed.
What I learned
I learned about marketing and during my research in the Market Analysis, I learned how to write a Risk Assessment.
What's next for Berry Bot
This website can help students to adhere to deadlines, organize their life and help them adjust to college life as well.
