Inspiration:
There are certain conventions people use to connect with each other : we begin by introducing ourselves, find a common interest, and then asking the other person how they feel. Simple on paper, but unpredictable in real life -- especially for neuro-divergent adults.
We pulled inspiration from our real lives as well as from the work Chloe does with Autistic adults and youth to format common social situations that autistic and ADHD folks struggle with, while using simple gameplay to encourage the most appropriate social interaction.
What it does:
Helps people, specifically autistic adults, figure out the best choice to make in social situations.
How we built it:
Using c#
Challenges we ran into:
Using github D:
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Figuring out github!!!
What's next for BeNice:
More situations, and figuring out a way to give it animation. We'd like to explore more complex themes, such as finding a roommate or choosing the right friends, as well as further develop graphics and movement.
