Inspiration
My journey began when I noticed the pressing social issues that existed within his own community. From homelessness to environmental degradation, I felt a strong desire to make a difference.
What it does
I established Benevolence – a platform designed to inspire and empower individuals to partake in social good initiatives and foster positive change.
How we built it
I used a combination of Javascript, HTML, CSS, and a few map API and data sets to get info about homeless population of cities.
Challenges we ran into
Since I am pretty novice to JS, it was pretty tough to break through some errors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am very proud of how much time and effort I put into this as this is officially my second website made.
What we learned
I learned that the simplest websites can have one of the biggest impacts.
What's next for Benevolence
I want to connect #BeBenevolent to social media APIs so whenever someone submits a post using the hashtag, we can automatically repost it on my website and even ask them about their acts of benevolent in a story like manner.
