About BenefitsBridge
Getting medical care with a disability can involve way more than visiting a doctor. You might need Medicaid, transportation, equipment, or financial assistance, but finding out what's available means searching through a bunch of different websites.
That's why I built BenefitsBridge.
It helps users find potential benefits, track applications, and figure out their next steps. There's also a Life Simulator that shows what might change if someone gets a job, moves, or has a change in income.
I built it using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. One challenge was making the recommendations useful without falsely promising eligibility.
BenefitsBridge also helps with the medical supply chain by guiding users through funding and paperwork for equipment like wheelchairs.
The goal is simple: make getting support less confusing.
