Inspiration

A large number of people miss out on government benefits not because they are ineligible but because the process is confusing and difficult to navigate. Information is scattered across multiple sources and often hard to understand. This inspired us to build a solution that simplifies access and helps people easily find the benefits they deserve.

What it does

Benefit Bridge helps users find the government schemes they are eligible for using basic personal details. It provides eligibility status estimated benefits required documents and a clear path to apply. It also allows users to paste their information directly and generate an application draft making the entire process simple and efficient.

How we built it

We built Benefit Bridge with a focus on simplicity and usability. Users can enter details like age income and location or use document text assist to paste their information. The system processes this input and matches it with relevant schemes. We also implemented features like document checklist generation and application draft creation to complete the user flow.

Challenges we ran into

Handling different types of user input while maintaining accurate matching was challenging. Simplifying complex eligibility rules into something easy to understand required careful design. Maintaining a clean and simple interface while supporting multiple features was also a key challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a complete end to end platform that simplifies a complex real world problem. The system takes basic input and guides users all the way to generating an application draft. Creating a smooth and clear user experience is something we are especially proud of.

What we learned

We learned how to design solutions for real users by focusing on clarity and usability. We improved our ability to simplify complex processes and build systems that are both functional and easy to use. This project also strengthened our understanding of user experience and practical problem solving.

What's next for BenefitBridge

We plan to expand the platform by adding more schemes and improving the accuracy of matching. We also aim to support multiple languages and increase accessibility. In the future we want to integrate real time updates and make the application process even more seamless.
