Inspiration

A large number of people miss out on government benefits not because they are ineligible, but because the process is confusing, scattered, and difficult to understand. We wanted to simplify access and remove this gap between people and the benefits they deserve.

What it does

Benefit Bridge is a platform that helps users find government schemes they are eligible for by entering basic details. It shows relevant schemes, eligibility status, required documents, estimated benefits, and even helps generate an application draft — all in one place.

How we built it

We built a clean and simple interface where users can input their details or paste information using a document text assist feature. The system processes this data, matches it with relevant schemes, and displays results with eligibility scores. Additional features like document checklist generation and draft creation were integrated to make the process complete.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was handling different types of user input and ensuring accurate matching with schemes. Designing a system that remains simple for users while handling complex eligibility logic was also challenging. Keeping the interface clean while including multiple features required careful design decisions. Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a solution that simplifies a complex real-world problem into a smooth and user-friendly experience. The ability to go from entering details to generating an application draft in one flow is something we are especially proud of. What we learned

We learned how to design for real users, not just functionality. Simplicity, clarity, and usability are just as important as technical implementation. We also improved our problem-solving skills while handling real-world constraints.

What's next for BenefitBridge

We plan to expand the platform by adding more schemes, improving accuracy, and supporting multiple languages. We also aim to enhance accessibility and integrate real-time updates so users always get the most relevant and up-to-date information.
