Inspiration
During the Nipah virus and Corona Virus spread healthcare department and hospitals in Kerala find it hard to engage the public to get relevant public health data for acting faster and a lot of fake news is spreading related to corona created a panic situation. So to solve these problems, we come up with an idea called Bello Care- the virtual nurse for the public.
What it does
Bello- The Virtual nurse provides better public engagement and retention by providing better care through a Facebook Messenger.
Bello reminds users to take their medication or birth control pills, motivates them to be adherent with their regimens, and is also able to present medicine specific information.
Bello keeps track of your patient’s health and helps them to reach their goals. They can track their body weight, mood, periods, blood pressure, etc. Adds Emotional Proposition and develops lasting relationships with the audience.
Bello can tell more about a disease or finds a special location for your patients, like a doctor or a pharmacy. It is equipped with Mental Health Tests, Quizzes, Self-Assessments, & Screening Tools.
Bello analyzes the data for you and sends highly personalized health tips to the user without compromise their privacy.
Why we created this project
We created this project because during emergency situations like a virus spread government departments should able to reach out to the public frequently with ease and should be able to cope up with the false news spread to avoid the panic situation.
For this, an instant application build requires a lot of time to acquire the audience. So we come with a messenger app that can engage the audience and can be used in case of emergency.
The public will find a lot of usefulness in this app because we are providing value by taking care of their health.
We need to expand it rapidly to the entire world to break the chain of Corona.
How we built it
The project is an amalgamation of a variety of technologies. A Facebook Messenger chatbot for the frontend, a set of micro-services in the middle, running on GCP, and a powerful chat engine. Challenges we ran into One of the largest challenges was time. Initially, we built a Dialogflow bot but later we had to change it for a long run considering it for a scale-up which indeed took a lot of rework and time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the impact Bello Care is going to make. Bello Care is already recognized by the Kerala Government health department and Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council. And one of Asia's largest hospital chains is going to integrate Bello on its website and Facebook Messenger.
What we learned
We learned a lot more about, Google Cloud, and Conversation Designing. In addition to that, our team got a better understanding of what different stages accomplish before the result could become what we expected. Improving our ability to take a project and break it down into every single little component that blocks the final product is an incredibly important tool in software development that we're glad we got to improve on.
What's next for Bello Care
In the future, Bello Care could be an Augmented Reality Virtual Nurse.
