🌟 Inspiration
The idea behind BELGESELSEMO GÜNEŞ SİSTEMİ was to create a standalone, educational, and visually striking application that brings the solar system to life directly within any browser. Inspired by classic astronomy tools and modern UI design, the goal was to make planetary science interactive, accessible, and multilingual for learners of all levels. 🔨 How We Built It
This project was built entirely using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with no frameworks or external backends — 100% standalone and browser-compatible. The application integrates:
Custom-designed planetary orbit animations
Dynamic planet comparison charts (diameter, mass, orbit time)
Real-time planetary information and exoplanet listings
Time-based simulations for rotation and orbit
A multilingual interface using the MyMemory Translation API
All visuals and logic were handcrafted to run seamlessly from a single .html file, making it perfect for both online use and offline education. 🧠What We Learned
We deepened our knowledge in:
DOM manipulation and CSS animation for orbital physics
Handling bilingual content and asynchronous translation APIs
Designing highly modular and responsive UIs
Visualizing data like planet statistics and star maps in a clean, intuitive way
🧩 Challenges
Simulating realistic orbital paths and planetary movements with pure JavaScript
Keeping everything performant and lightweight within a single HTML file
Building a dual-language interface that gracefully updates all dynamic content
Designing a UI that feels modern yet scientific and educational
